Ecotherapy is an indigenous practice that rests on the idea that people have a deep connection to their environment and to the earth itself. Failing to nurture this connection can take a toll on your well-being, particularly your mental health. Ecotherapy can involve loosely structured activities, such as; gardening, forest bathing, hiking, camping in the wilderness, outdoor walking meditation, and yoga. The benefits of ecotherapy vary and can improve depression, stress, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, hypertension, and chronic pain. With a guided therapist, eco sessions can help build self-confidence, boost mood, overcome negative beliefs, improve communication skills, and gain trust.
